Refund policy

 We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

This applies to all items listed on our website, such as collectibles like Plushes, Figures and Cards.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us directly (see https://ichiba-japan.com/pages/contact-us). If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on where to return your parcel to us in Japan. Return shipping is at your own expense, and the parcel is your responsibility until we receive it. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Please note that if your parcel was sent overseas (not in Japan), we will not refund the original shipping cost of your order, or any other fee you were charged for your delivery.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Once we have confirmed the issue, we will arrange for the item to be returned to us free of charge and send you a replacement, at no cost to you. Please record an unboxing video when opening your parcel — this is required to support any claim for damaged, defective, or missing items. Any issue reported later than 48 hours after receipt of your order will not be accepted.

Returned parcel

Any parcel that is returned to us without prior confirmation—for example, if you have made a mistake in your delivery address, if you have refused the delivery, if you have not collected your parcel in time, if you have not paid the taxes or customs fees, or if you have decided to return the goods without talking to us first—will either be reshipped at your expense or refunded minus the shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee.

Additionally, unless your shipping method is DDP (import duties and taxes included and paid at checkout), by placing an order with us you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any import fees, duties, or taxes required by your country. For parcels returned because you did not pay import fees, any additional fees charged to us by the courier company will be charged to you or deducted from the refund of the items in the order.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded, within 10 days, on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
